About Us

Marble Hill was the summer residence of the Governor of South Australia from its construction in 1879 until its destruction in the 1955 Black Sunday Bushfires. Its silhouette can be seen for miles around the Adelaide Hills, and it has become a favourite icon of the area, as well as a reminder of the power of bushfires.

Now, a new era begins for Marble Hill, with an upcoming multi-million dollar restoration promising to revive this great building as a focal point for South Australian tourism.
